Some surgeries, like laser eye surgery, typically requires up to 24 hours support due to temporary blindness as the eyes adjust or Egg Retrieval surgery that limits independence temporarily. Typical Services Needed

 

Day Before Surgery:

Nurse check-in and Special requests, like grocery shopping and medical supply lists, are made in advance (if not already completed).

 

Day of Surgery:

 

             Before Surgery

• Curbside pick up for client (+1 passenger, if requested) and transport to clinic or hospital (optional)

• Within an arms reach support provided before and during surgery (if allowed) OR return when surgery is completed (optional)

             After Surgery

• Translate doctor's instructions for post-operative care

• Overnight or specified hours of nursing care in the hospital/home/hotel

If transporting home, this can include any of the following:

• Pharmacy medication pick-up

• Medication management and administration

• Pain management 

• Wound Care and Infection Control

• Vital Signs monitoring

• Routine health checks (can include call-ins to surgeon for updates)

• Meal preparation, including any special dietary instructions from doctor

• Comfort and personal care services, like walking assistance, bathing, or dressing

• Completion of specified tasks
